Remember Regular maintenance will prolong the life of your treatment area, stopping it from clogging up
DECOLLOIDEURS should be hosed out on a regular basis or the pouzzalaine changed
BACTERIA IN POWDER FORM should be added as per the packet, once a week / month, this is
important to allow the bacteria to break down the matter into a sludge, creating your own mini
sewerage system. This is why you must be careful what you place down the sink or toilet
DO NOT put down the sink or toilet, - hair, coffee ground beans,paper towels, tampons, sanitary towels,
Nappies cat litter, condoms, cigarette buts, bandages, grease, fat, oil, paints thinners, white spirits,
Chemical solutions, pesticides, domestos. REMEMBER what goes in must come out and certain things
can create a blockage leading to problems. IF YOU PUT SOMETHING DOWN you should’nt have
You can re boost your septic tank by adding your powders in excess, one each day for a week or so
to build up the bacteria Live yogurt works well aswell. Powders are best added last thing at night down the
toilet to allow them to work a bit longer without the daily water being put in the tank..
DO NOT run the gutters into the treatment site, as this may overload the system in times of severe weather
and also it is INTERDIT, not allowed!!!
DO NOT drive on the filter area with cars, tractors etc as this could squash the pipes. Dont plant trees within
3 meters as the roots search out the water and could block the pipes. Grass is the best cover for the treatment
area as it helps disperse excess water.
